Job Description

Job Title: Safeguards Senior Analyst, Cyber Harms. Locations: San Francisco, CA | New York City, NY | Seattle, WA

Responsibilities:

• Enforce trust and safety policies, with a focus on cyber threat prevention
• Monitor AI system usage to identify trends and potential security threats
• Partner with engineering to develop safety mechanisms for responsible AI use
• Conduct investigations into policy violations, gather and document evidence;
• Collaborate with policy teams to refine enforcement frameworks based on emerging threats
• Use Python and data tools to analyze behavior patterns and build detection strategies
• Document findings and maintain accurate enforcement records
• Handle user appeals professionally and transparently;
• Participate in policy reviews and contribute insight from real enforcement cases
• Prioritize enforcement workflows and operational tasks;
• Maintain professionalism when engaging with sensitive or explicit content

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related field
• Strong understanding of web and system security, including attack patterns
• Experience in ethical hacking, penetration testing, or CTFs (OSCP is a plus)
• Proficient in Python and large-scale data handling;
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent experience;
• Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive investigations

Preferred:

• Background in AI safety or responsible AI development
• Experience with content moderation or policy enforcement
• Strong judgment in ambiguous and complex situations;
• Familiarity with malware analysis and adversarial behaviors;
• Comfort communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences

Benefits and Logistics:

• Salary Range: $170,000 – $325,000 USD annually
• Hybrid Work: Expectation to be onsite at least 25% of the time;
• Visa Sponsorship: Available on a case-by-case basis with support from in-house immigration counsel;
• Work Environment: You may be exposed to explicit content due to the nature of policy enforcement duties;
• On-call: Includes shared responsibility for responding to urgent issues across teams
