Trust & Safety Analyst

Job Description

Job Title: Trust & Safety Analyst. Location: San Francisco, CA

Responsibilities:

• Support new launches by developing safety workflows, tooling, and vendor programs.
• Interpret usage policies, apply them to complex scenarios, and refine policies based on edge cases.
• Handle high-stakes escalations, collaborating with Legal, Compliance, and Engineering teams.
• Build and scale processes for content moderation, reporting, and appeals;
• Analyze data for trends to inform detection models, product features, and policy updates.
• Define KPIs and build QA programs to improve moderation quality;
• Develop playbooks, SOPs, and training to enhance team understanding of safety systems.
• Serve as the primary point of escalation for high-complexity cases;
• Drive automation at scale and leverage LLMs for operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, integrity, or compliance operations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate technical issues to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven program management skills with a focus on prioritization and execution.
• Experience building operations from scratch while maintaining high-quality standards;
• Comfortable working in ambiguity within a fast-paced, startup environment;
• Humble and collaborative attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
